Patrick Thomas .Tones, a gripman on a cable car, pleaded guilty to aggravated assault on his wife. The police stated the assault was particularly brutal and was unprovoked. The woman was kicked and wounded in the head by blows from a chair, necessii a ting hospital treatment. Tlie sub-inspector stated tiie accused was a sexual pervert, which abnormality accounted for his behaviour. The magistrate inflicted a sentence of Three mouths' imprisonment. and ordered prisoner's detention for a year for Ihe Prisons Board's decision. l
