I TE AROHA, this day. i A maintenance warrant issued at Gisborne for the arrest of John Lloyd (a man with several aliases) was executed at Tβ Aroha by Constable Peters last evening. The constable searched and . found an eight-inch gelignite plug in I accused's possession, the gelignite, it is alleged, being stolen from Horahora, where Lloyd was lately employed. Accused was charged before Mr. Motley under the Arms Act with being illegally in possession of gelignite without a licence, and other charges were stated to be pending. For being in unlawful possession of ■ gelignite accused was sentenced to a ' month's imprisonment in Auckland gaol. ; On the expiration of his term accused i I will be taken to Gisborne to answer ] I other charges there. i
