"Just how cold it was I cannot tell you," he said, "for the thermometer buret at 40 below zero. It must have been near 50." M. Leeointe was clad in an electrically heated fur com bination suit. The aeeent occupied 80 minutes. It would have been possible in 4o minutes, but he was anxioua not to strain his motor. The descent took 35 minutes.
