GRASS TRACK ROADS.
A ONE TREE HILL COMPLAINT. "The forcing of the hands of local bodies by the Government in dedicating public roads before the}' are completed, is a farce and requires amendment," said the chairman of the One Tree Hill Road Board, Mr. R. G. Clark lait evening. He stated that it was becoming a serious matter, as in the One Tree Hill district quite an number of purely grass tracks had already been dedicated by the Government, feecently the board had written to Mr. J. S. Dickson, M.P., and Mr. W. j. Jordan, M.P., complaining of the practice without any reference to the board's requirements, and making no provisions for footpaths, drainage, and water which private owners wotlld be required to do, and stating that the board had resolved not to expend any public Money oft these roads. Mr. Dickson replied, stating , that he was going to interview the Minister himself, and would communicate with the board as soon as he received a reply.
