The White Horse Cup competition wae continued yesterday afternoon at Bemnera, when there was a most exciting match between Rodney and Plako, ending In a draw with the result that Plako thus managed to hold their lead of a point for the cup. Mangawai were beaten by Whangarel by two points to one, acd Thames defaulted to Franklin. The cup points now are: Plako, 6: Rodney, 5; Whangarei, 5; Franklin, 4; Mangawai, 3; Thames, 1. RODNEY V. PIAKO. This game was full of thrilling incidents, and after a quiet opening the play eudtienly became fast and strenuous ac each side attacked in turn, first the Rodney arid then the Piako goalie being called on to save. Nice play by the Rodney forwards took them to the opposing circle, but they then lost chances by poor shooting, and although Rodney kept up a hot attack the defensive bitting of the Piako backs saved the situation for them, and half-time arrived without a score on either side Opening the second spell Piako became aggressive, and had hard lnck in not scoring, and when they returned to the attack missed another chance. Rodney were assuming the upper hand when Everitt made a solo breakaway and landed a goal In sensational fashion. Give and take play with Rodney showing to better advantage' mar , k . ed Ji he closln S stagea of play, ana finally 'Simmonsen equalised the scores and the game ended. Rodney 1, Piako 1. WHANGAREI V. MA-NGAWAI. Whangarel showed to advantage throughout the opening spell, setting up sustained attacks, but the Mangawai defence was good, and only one goal was scored, Arthur being the scorer. In the second spell Mangawai livened up, and play was even, though Patterson netted a second goal for Whangarel. Mangawai finished up the game aggressively. Grant shooting one goal, and Whacgarel were being kept down to defence till the end of the game. LADIES' PROVINCIAL CUP. WON BY TACMARC^UL ..^ri" 1 /^- 14 *" .
