LONDON, July 25. • Wheat cargoes were quiet to-day at 6d ' to 1/3 decline, in sympathy with lower American cablegrams, . but the market closed firmer. Parcels were 6d to 9d lower, but Improved owing to shorts covering at I reduced prices.—(A. and N.Z. Cable. > i The report of the Commercial Bank of Australia, Limited, covering the year ended i Juue 30 last shows a net profit of £234,418, compared with £228,080 in the , previous year. With £42,208 brought forward, there la- available £276,627. Dividends of 4 per cent on preference shares absorb £ 84,694. and of 15 per cent on the ordinary shares £52.081. A sum of i £10,000 has been set aside for the reduction of premises. £85,065 has been placed < to the reserve fund, and £44,785 is carried forward.
