TRACING HER LOST SON. "TICKETED" IN LONDON; <Spedal to "Stir.") WANGANUj; this dajv "Early, in the month Dunedin papers: contained a statement that Mr. H. Turner 'had received out of Over Tonkin and Co.'c private letter box a post card addressed to Mr. Ferguson. Thei> being no one of that name in the firm's employ he 'became interested in the card, as it bore the correct number, of the firm's box. The message indicated that the -writer was a Sydney ■'mother,. who was in quest of information regarding 'her returned eoldier son, Frank Marshall. Marshall left with the Australian forces, was wounded in the head and taken prisoner. Two com-panions-had told the mother that the soldier,-whom -they helped to escape suffered from lapsejof-'inemory. All three: arrived in London, and a companion put a 'ticket-round Marshall's neck andtojd him where to go, andJind the military.. Apparently he never arrived, and all trace.of him lias been lost since that date. ! The mother .then" 'heard 'he.'-had-: arrived in Dunedin. Hence her inquiry.
Mr. W. H. Grace, of Wanganui, states that in 1918 a returned eoldier bearing the name of Frank Marshall., was. 'buried here. He had , been staying,in Keith Street, and wae somewhat peculiar in manner, which leade Mr. Graceto believe lie may have been the missing soldier.
