WATERFRONT RALIWAY.
SAFEGUARDS FOR TRAFFIC. The question of the waterfront railway wag the cause of a long discission at the Waitemata. Chamber of Commerce meeting held in Dwvonport last night. It wae pointed out'that it would simplify matters considerably if an assurance were given that no trains would run during rush hours and that the traffic be properly regulated by the City Council. Mr. Henderson agreed that thie was a most" reasonable request to make and lie realised that it was one [of the first things which would bi> asked of tte representatives who wculd go to Wellington to give evidence before the Local Bilb Committee.
