DAVIS CUP MATCHES.
IRELAND PLAYS FRANCE. LONDON, June 22. The match between France and Ireland in the second round of the Davis Cup contest was commenced at Dublin yesterday. In the singles, Cochet (France) beat MeCrae, 6—l, C—3, 13—11; Campbell heat Borotra (France), Ci—l, 7— 5, 6 —o. The doubles will be played to-day, and the two remaining singles to-morrow.— (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
