BANKRUPT'S DILEMMA.
A DARGAVILLE CASE. Malcolm Brunette, a bankrupt iewel ler, of Dargaville, was unable to attend a meeting of his creditors yesterday! afternoon because he had not suflSl m ° n ?y \° . tra ™l to Auckland. The Official Assignee told the five creditors present that he had advised the bank rupt that his presence was not necessary on this occasion, provided certain in formation was forthcoming. This showed debts amounting to £341 16/-. and assets £183, including stock valued at £125 Two sections of land in which bankrupt had an interest were not included. There were twenty creditors. It was decided to invite offers for the stock and submit them to the largest creditor with power to act. Inquiries are also to be made with the object of realising th<! interest in the two sections.
