STATE ADVANCES AS ALTERNATIVE (By Telegraph.—Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, Frittay.. Funds having run out in connection with advances to soldiers for house building, the Premier announced to-day that Buch application will in future be dealt with by the State Advances Department. The matter arose because Mr. D. C Sullivan (Avon), having recehvu several complaints from soldiers who wished to build, but who could not pet loans under the Discharged Soldiers' Settlement Act, asked what was the position.
