The directors have issued a report stating that protection for 12 months has been obtained for the company's property, also that an option has been granted over the mine and plant on the terms that the company Is to receive either £8000 in cash, or 10 per cent in fully paid up shares of the total capital, in the event of a new company being formed such shares not to be less than 10,000. OHIXESIURI MINES. The manager reports that -the recent heavy rains caused further slips on the water races, and no work has been done in the mlue In the past week, all the men being engaged in clearing the slips. Sufficient progress has been made to enable mining operations to be resumed on Monday. N NEW WAIOTAHI. The report of the manager states that the winze on the Footwall reef has been sunk to a depth of 20 feet, at which point old workings were met with, and work was suspended. The dr.ir_ _ orth on the course of the reef has be«n resumed, and from the latest survey there Is a considerable extent of ground to prospect in this direction.
