FAILING TO ACCOUNT.
SECRETARY'S DEFALCATIONS. LARGE SUM INVOLVED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) DAXXEVIRKE, this day. Thomas Henry Jones, accountant, ot Dannevirke, secretary" of the Arcadia .'Picture Company, who voluntarily surrendered to the police at Takapa'u yesterday, appeared in court to-day charged with failing to account for the sum ot £34 6/ to the pictpre company, and was remanded till to-morrow. The police said acused admitted defalcations totalling between four and five hundred pounds. The actual amount would not be known until an audit was completed.
