NEW INSURANCE COMPANIES.
CROP IN NEW SOUTH WAXES. (Received 11.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. In view of the formation recently of a number of new insurance companies, Mr. John Lee (Minister of Justice) announced that he is submitting a scheme to Cabinet with the object of protecting the public against companies that arc not bona fide, under which a public officer shall investigate and report on the prospects of the company.—A. and N.Z.
