SCHOLARS AT PICTURES.

Reporting on the attendance of school children at picture shows where educational films are shown, a committee of th 6 Auckland Education Board stated that an investigation of a complaint about the behaviour of children had resulted in finding that discipline had been well maintained in all cases, and always the children from the board's schools had attended the pictures in the care of a teacher. It had been shown that the cause of complaint had emanated from the pupils of a school not under the board's jurisdiction. It had been arranged that teachers in charge of children attending pictures should have the children marshalled to leave the exits as at fire drill. In commenting on the report Mr. .i. S. King mentioned that the marshalling of the children as for fire drill nad been tried at an organ recital at the Town Hall and had been found to act most satisfactorily.
