OFFICERS FOR CHATHAM.
FOUR MEN FROM HOME. Among the first saloon passeneers on the Arawa. which arrived from"Southampton this morning, were four warrant commissioned officers for H.M.s. Chatham. Their names are: Gunner (?. Chapman. R.N"., who ia accompanied by Mrs. Chapman and daughter; Gunner f". Hale. T.R.X.; Boatswain c. Lee, R.X. ; and Warrant-Engineer \V. Staeey, R.N., who is accompanied by Mrs. Staeey and two children. The naval men took a leadili" part in the social life on the ship during the voyage, and a number of dances and a fancy dress ball were held while in th e Atlantic. On arrival this morning, the officers were met by a party from H.M.s. Chatham and were taken "to Devonport by the Admiralty launch. The Arawa also brought two ratings for H.M.s. Laburnum, their names bein» Messrs D. Davidson and F. Holder. =
