Tbe. board decided to make a tour of inspection of all roads and footpaths rturinff the next week, in order to draw up a comprehensive scheme of work, dojnz the more urgent first. .Mr. Brown, wjio b.is had enarfcp of the Warkworth High School has resigned bis position, and Mis s Baxter has arrived in Wnrk-worfh to take up tlie duties at the High School. An extended launch service commenced this week in connection with bringing the children up the river to school. The launch now coraps riiiht up from Mahurangl 'Heads wharf each moi'iiius, returning in the evening. This will be a great convenience to residents about Maburangi. The various winter sports are now in full swing, liockey. football and golf, interclub matches being played whenever the weather allows. The Warkworth Golf Club have nearly 40 members, and subsidiary clubs are arolng strong at Mahurangi and Jlatakana.
