OBITUARY.
MR. ALBERT TAYLOR.
A well-known resident of Auckland for a long period, Mr. Albert Taylor, died on Saturday at the advanced age; of 83 years. He landed in Auckland from the ship Ida Zeigler on October 29 1864. Deceased was born in Knderby, .England, in 1840, and came out to New Zealand under what was known as the "40-aere system." For some time Mr Taylor was a builder in this city but in 1874 he joined the X.Z. Railways, from which he retired after 30 yearsservice. The last half of that period Air Taylor was car and wagon inspector on the Auckland-Wellington, and also the Taranaki-Napier, sections. In l!) 04 Mr. Taylor retired on superannuation and returned to reside in Auckland for the remainder of his life. Deceased was a prominent member of the Christadelphian body and a speaker at its services Mr. Taylor is survived by Ins second wife and the following children liv his first marriage. Mesdames Charles Cooper (Mt. Eden), Percy Tingey (Wa. G. Reid (Bayswater). Mr. Arthur Taylor (Mt. Eden), and Mr. Walter Taylor fPetone). There are fifteen grandchildren, and three greatgrandchildren. MBsTw. S. DAXIEL. The death occurred on Saturday of Mrs Eleanor Kate Daniel, wife of Mr. W S Daniel, of Princes Street, JTorthcote, and second daughter of the late Mr. Samuel Woods, of Auckland. Tjntil laid aside by illness ft couple of years •i"o the deceased lady was an ardent church worker, and was a member of the choir of the Korthcote Methodist Church, and a teacher in the Sunday School. The interment took place at the Waikaraka Cemetery to-day,
