Tom Heeney and Tyril Whitaker. who nre to light in the Town Hall on Monday night over 10 rounds for a purse of £ 1 r>o. arc both in town, and are doing their finishing work at local gyms. Ifeoney bos been doing solid work at Stewart Smith's gym. in Customs Street, and in sparring bouts in the early afternoon with Jim Sullivan has been showing nliilitv to snap in heavy punches. Whitaker made a start last night with his sparring work at Donovan Bros.' gym. in I'arnell. where t'e u'nat ur middleweight champion. Dick Meale, kept him going at a very fast pace for three rounds, in which both men showed speed and cleverness. They will spar again this
