PUKEKOHE BOROUGH COUNCIL.
(Tn the Editor.) I Sir. —T had occasion on the 4rh inst., to complain re erroneous matter in a i report in the "Star" issued on the 3rd inst. This report purported to give particulars of some of the proceedings at the meeting of the Pukekohe. Borough Council held during the previous evening. I placed some of the facts before a member of votir staff and correction was | made in'votir issue of the sth inst.. of ; the most'glaring error. We did not. trouble about minor errors. In your issue of the 22nd inst. I am reported to have said from the chair "that I did not care either for the orders of the Supreme Court."* I take it that such an attitude on my part would have been a rather | serious one. and I desire this opportunity , ot" stating that I am again misreported. I clearly recognise that your Auckland staff is not to.blame for the publications of the errors complained of. —I am, etc., JOHN* ROUTLY.
