OLD COLONIST'S DEATH.

The death occurred yesterday of Mrs. Susan Elizabeth Daykin, of Northcote, in 'her eightieth year. Mrs. Daykin came to New Zealand about 38 years ago in the Northumberland, and disembarked at Tauranga. She. went to Rotorua, and! was there at the time of the Tarawera eruption. Thereafter she settled at Northcote, where she has lived for the last 35 years. Deceased ie survived by "two daughters,- Mrs. M. Jennings, of Xorthcote, and Mrs. W. Milford, of Wellington, and by 13 grandchildren and' 16 great grandchildren. Her death occurred suddenly when she was in the garden,.
