INDUSTRIAL STATISTICS.
WORK AND -WAGES. COMPARISON OF PERIODS. Statistics of industrial manufacture in Sew Zealand, recently published by *he Census and Statistics Office, have been brought under the notice of the Industrial Association- , by the Secretary of the Department of Industries and Commerce (Mr. J. W. Collins). Tn tabulated form are set out the comparative statistics over a period of years, concerning which Mr. Collins explains that the totals differ somewhat from those previously" supplied, for the reason that the Government Statistician has made certain adjustments of the figures with the object of eliminating from the totals for previous years the figures on industries not included in later compilations. The table now given is therefore on a better comparative basis than could be secured by adhering to figures previously published for earlier years. The table gives figures for four separate periods—l9oo-1, 1910-11, 1020-21, and 1921-22.
