The officials of the borough also attended, and were introduced to the • new councillors by the Town Clerk, Mr. J. " Wilson. i The Mayor, in hie opening remarks, emphasised the necessity for the hearty co- " operation of the borough staff in the wort ' of the council, and enunciated, a policy • of business-like efficiency on all phases of I administration. Little and W. Perry-Taylor. The electricity committee was composed of the Mayor (chairman) and Councillors S. Luxford. H. Little. A. Bartley and E. Aldridge. The members of the Domain Board are Councillors A. . Bartley (chairman). S. Bond and S. Lnxford. Reading Requirements.—A deputation wns received of Xorth Devonport residents requesting through Mr. Staples Improvement in roading facilities. The matter wu promised the immediate consideration of the works committee. Routine business and oorrespoDdence occupied tile attention of the council, further consideration of details being relegated to the special committee.
