MILKING SHED MOTORS.

MUCH OVERTAXED. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, this day. Many dairymen are inclined to overload their niilkihg-shed motors, according to speakers at a. meeting of the Central Electric Power Board, yesterday. Dairymen generally appeared to think, it was pointed out, that a one-horse-power motor would fulfill their milking requirements, no matter what plant they used or what number of machines were installed. The experience of the board was that a one horse-power motor ■was only capable of dealing with a small herd. The power varied considerably, according to the milking machines used, and in order to be on the safe side, dairymen with fairly large herds should instal at least a two horse-power motor. It was mentioned that a J horse-power motor was suitable for little more than working a separator.
