TAURANGA HARBOUR BOARD.
THE ANNUAL MEETING. lf| <By Telegraph.—Own) Correspondent.) TAURANGA, this day. The annual meeting of the Harbour Board was held yesterday. ilr. D. Grant was elected chairman. A telegram was received from the Secretary of the Marine Department intimating that the Government had appointed, Colonel Ward and Mr. A. Montgomery, ! of Te Puke, members of the hoard. The chairman, in taking his seat, said he regretted the absence of Jlr. R. King, ] late chairman, and stated his intention to visit the Old Country next year. ITS moved " That this Board places on record its appreciation of the services rendered by Mr. King in his capacity as ' chairman." The motion was seconded; by Colonel Ward, and carried, most of | the members expressing regret that llr. j I King had not been reappointed. Mr. J. G. Green was elected deputy chairman, j The Board decided to call tenders for j the removal of Victoria wharf.
