A claim for compensation by Matteo Botica (Mr. P. J. O'Regan), a Huntly coalminer, against the Taupi/l Coalmines, Ltd. (Mr. Richmond), which was to have been heard before the Arbitration Court to-day, was settled. Plaintiff had his right hand crushed between a cable and a jig-wheel ill April. 1022: He was disabled for fourteen weeks, during which be was paid compensation. His claim was for compensation for the loss of a portion of a finger.
