ANOTHER BODY FOUND.
THE SEARCH COXTIXUED.
THREE MORE MISSIXO. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON". Tuesday. The police liave discovered the body of another child on the Cooper property at Xewlands. This is the second infant's body that has been found. The first "body was discovered over a month ago. after the arrest of Richard Daniel Cooper and his wife, who arc now indicted on a charge of murder, and are to appear at the Supreme Court in May next. Digging operations on the property were resumed last Friday, the P"l i<-P having reason to suspout that another body would be discovered. The digging party has been operating almost continuously since Friday, and its eflorts were rewarded this afternoon. Xo particulars as to identity of the latest discovery are available. Ino police arc continuing the search on all parts of the property in the expectation of finding the bodies of other children entrusted to the Coopers, of whom no trace can be found. It was stated at the. trial that altogether five children were missing, two of whom nave now being found.
In nddition to the charge of murder. the Coopers have been committed for trial on joint charges of unlawfully detaining four children. The infants who were the subject of the charges we . rP: (1) The male child of Hugo, tup]i and Lily Lester: (2) the male ch.ld ot Beetrise Irene Beadle; (3) the female chiW of Margaret Mary McLeod and W .U.*m Jame* Welsh; and (4) the child of Beatrice Irene Beadle.
