Geoffrey Baden Skill (Mr. I Gatcnby) sued Mrs. Sabina Betty | McEwen (Mr. Goulding) to recover | £3S 14/3. alleged to be due for goods, | bought and paid for by plaintiff on defendant's behalf, the balance of wages jas manager, at the rate of £5 10/ per I week. Plaintiff admitted that defendant I rendered him service to the value of £17 3/7, for which a counter claim was entered. This was made up as follows: Seeds and bulbs, £7 9/7; sleeve links and brooch, £3 10/; pay ment on shares. £6 4/. Defendant denied that plaintiff was manager of her business, or that she agreed to pay him £5 10/ per week, but said his wage was £3 5/ for work done.
