There was a risk, however, especially with chloro- . form, under which peculiar things sometimes happened. There was also the ' point that where a patient was in a ; home there wa/S assurance of proper J preparation for the anaesthetic. I Another dentist stated that very often i a dental operation was more dangerous than ordinary surgery. There was often ; more bleeding, with the consequent dani ger of hindering breathing.
