4 MR. JAMES DALRYMPLE INNES. The death last Friday at Tatuanui of James Dalrymple limes at the age of 73 years removes from our midst a man* who had spent a long life in the Dominion, after going through a very varied experience of life. He was born y in India, being the son of the late Munro ; 'e Ross Innes, who hold many important j; 1 offices in the East. He was a schooli- master in the Taranaki and Wanganui 0 districts for many years. He also had ideas about reforming the social conditions of the worid, and ranked amongst his correspondents the k late Andrew Carnegie. Of late years d he had been living in retirement with '- his youngest son, surrounded by his c books and his magazines. He is sure vived by his widow and a large family , of boys and girls
