JAPANESE BUDGET.
HEAVY COST OF DEFENCE. TOKYO. March 25. The Upper House passed the 1923 Budget, confirming the approval of the Lower House. It provides for an expenditure of £133,500,000. including £20,500,000 for the army and £27,600,000 for the navy.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
