The second annual Flower, Fruit, and Prolines Show, held in the Pakaraka Hall this week, produced a fine collection of exhibits, clearly demonstrating the resources of this fertile area, and also showing a distinct advancement on the previous show. The exhibits filled all available space in the hall, in addition to which a large marquee was utilised for the accommodation of vegetable, fruit, and agricultural produce sections. -J he lixiure came In for large public patronage fiom visitors over a wide area, there being quite a formidable array of motor cars parked, and the financial result should be gratifying. Among the flowers were some very Hue varieties of cactus dahlias and roses. The bottled fruit section was especially tine. Competition was keen throughout.
