As ilie train from Kotorua was about to pull up at the Frank ton station last evening, an elderly man, Thomas Bannister, aged (io, fell between tlie carriages and the platform, reteiving severe injuries, including il broken ankle, a broken shoulder and ratlier severe injuries to the head. Hβ was removed to Ihe Waikato Hospital, where his condition is serious. Bannister is :i nightwatchman at the J-ower Hutt.
