COMPETITION NOT KEEN. •SLIGHT FALL IX CROSSBREDS. <By Telegraph.—Press Association.) TTMiARU this day. The tiiird wool sale was held today, when 5694 bale, were offered to a smaii bench of buyers. Offerings compared unfavourably with the second sale. Home buyers were well represented, but the competition of local mills was not keen, some not being represented. Prices, as expected, showed a decline. Ifalfhred and crossbred declined Id and pieces id to Id. Bellies and erutohings were unchanged. The following was the range of prices': — Merino, 16Jd to i'ld; halfbred. 14,1 to _*d-. crossbred. to 12td; three-quar-terbred, fijd to 17d; Corriedale, 12Jd to 20.d; pieces, merino lOJrl to IfHd, haltbred BJd to Lild, crossbred S,l to fljd three-quarterbred 7}d to IDJi: Corriedale Bid: bellies. Sid to lojd- crutc l !- --mgs, 4jd to BJd: dead wool. 7 T <l to 14M: locks, 4Jd to 10id; scoured three-quarter-bred to 2/Ifl.
