GIRL FOOTBALLERS.
HIGH WORDS AND RIOT. LONDON, March 9. The Paris correspondent of the "Evening News" states that a women's football match, the Olympique v. Femina Clubs, ended in a riot. The play was strenuous, and was marked by high words. The referee was kept busy preventing fights. The Femina scored a goal, to which the Olympique's supporters objected. Spectators invaded the field, and a free fight ensued among the players and spectators. Two girl players were suspended for a year.—-(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
