MT. EDEN DESTRUCTOR.

ORIGINAL SITE APPROVED. A conference was held at the health office yesterday between the department, represented by Dr. Boyd, and the representatives of local bodies interested in the erection of a suburban destructor. After considering a report from Dr. Hughes, medical officer of health, regarding alternative sites for the destructor, the meeting passed a resolution that the original site, off Dominion Road and Pine Street, was most suitable. It was also agreed to support the Mount Eden Borough Council in raising the necessary money and completing the purchase.
