NEW CLASS OF MURDER.
ALCOHOL CAUSING DEATH. FRESH LAWS IN AMERICA. WASHINGTON, March 7. Several of the Mid Western State Legislatures have passed, or are considering, bills characterising the sale of intoxicants causing death as murder, and imposing murder or manslaughter sentences upon those selling such. Oklahoma has already passed a law terming the sale of such things as wood alcohol murder. Ohio has passed a similar law, making the crime a second degree murder. Kansas and Indiana have bills 'pending providing for murder eentences. lowa has passed a law providing that it be manslaughter, while Michigan has a similar bill pending.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
