TRIAL OF HERRIN MINERS.

UNION OFFICIAL DENOUNCED.

NEW YORK, March 3.

An engineer employed at the mines, who "is also a union man, testified at the second trial of Herrin miners, and pointed out an official of the Illinois Mine Workers' Union present in the courtroom,- who, he alleged, gave an order to Mil all the mine guards who were captured during the riots. Witness further testified that "he saw men led intp the woods and beaten and shot.— (A. and N T .Z. Cable.)
