WAIKATO HOSPITAL

NEW LOAN APPROVED. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, Thursday. The Waikato Hospital Board to-day decided to call for tenders for a maternity home and dressing station for Matamata, and approved of a proposal recommended by the House and Finance Committee to raise a loan of £15,000 for the erection of a nurses' home at the hospital. Steps to raise the money will , be taken immediately. It was also decided to raise a loan of £7500 for the establishment of a cottage hospital at Huntly, plans for which were approved some time ago.
