ELLERSLIE TRAINING NOTES.
It was fine but dull for training operations at lCllerslie this morning, and a couple oif gallops. were registered on the outside of the course proper, tile bulk of the werk registered being recorded on the No. 2 "grass, which was iv good order. On the course proper Sir Otway and Loyal Irish galloped six furlongs In 1.19 4-u, Sir Otway leading all the way. The tfl-o-year-olds Sleepy Sol, Tresillion, Gala 'Day and Libertas spurted four furlongs in 51 l-ss, the two former belug together at the finish, with Gala Day ana Libertas followln);. Boonierday and Wish Wynne traversed a round of the Xo. 2 grass in 1.41 4-5. On the same track Nocturne spurted four furlongs in 525. Bright Light taking 53s for a similar distance. Praiseworthy showed more pace than Bonny Canny in the early part of a five •furlong eprlut, but the latter was with him at the Uiiish, the last four furlongs being Jeft behind in 50 2-56. After breakfaat It clouded over and became very cold, while a little rain fell, although not heavy enough to interfere with the work, which was all done on the Xo. - grass. ■ Sentinella was a shade In front of Daddy's Girl at the end of four furlongs, the last three of which took :iS. 4-Hii. Pentagram at the end of five furlongs run In 1.7. General rride beat Tlnoroto over four furlongs in 525. Poteen was too good for Greekson in a five furlong sprint in Lβ 2-5. Shebang ■finished In front of Sir Pam over four furlongs run in .ji> 4-3s, ; a distance which iMtirti covered in 51s. Walaraka and I.nJy Bruce traversed a round in 1.52, the former leading 'throughout. The Rockfllnt filly had a call over Kilplaldie at the end of four furlon-s in 31 2-"s. Flying Planet and Charlady took 53 1-os to spurt four furlongs, the same distance , taking Freshman and Big Beu .11*, and a lot of other, also worked. THE JUMPERS. Kiiieti jumped four hurdles, but fenced very elowly. Dead Sweet was'tried alone but Tefused at the first obstacle, not getting over until tbe fourth attempt, then stopped at the then jumped seven other hurdles -without mistake. Daloopll jumped fast over five hurdles. Ganibunla lyas sent over four hnrdlec. Jle got very close Into one, but got , " over elevorly. and altogether his display was promising. Guerre-a-Mort alone fenced cleanly over four obstacles. Hopye and Vociferate jumped the sod wall, double and stone trail without mistake.
