HAMILTON MAYORALTY.

MR. FOW TO STAND AGAIN. (By Telegraph.—tvn Carre *pondent.) HAMILTON, this day. At the request of all councillors present at last night's meeting of the Hamilton Borough Council, Mr. J. R. Fow, the Mayor, decided to again allow himself to be nominated for the mayoralty for a further term. At a meeting of the Borough Council last night a question of library fees was raised by \Cr. Webb, who considered 4/ per quarter too high for the average member. Mr. Barton suggested striking a special library rate. It was decided to recommend the incoming council to increase the subsidy to the library for the purpose of reducing fees, although several members considered 4/ per quarter ridiculously low.
