The weather wis fine ijitt cloudy and tile shooting conditions excellent. Shortly after the commencement <>f the Hawke's Bay match a steady iviad rose, blowing rftmight across th« range. Conseciuently the card showed ii hirge falling off. misses I>ecame frequent and even good scores with a lead fell back amazingly. Not one possible was registered throughout the meeting.
