Canterbury J.awn Tennis Association has bought a line block of laud, containing over ten acres, for the purpose of laying down courts for playing all its matches and tournaments. The ground is situated on Woodham Road, about a mile and a half from Cathedral Square, and can lie readied by tram or bk-ycla in ten minutes. The site is to be known as the Wilding Park, and thereon it It proposed to erect a memorial containing the names of all Canterbury tennis : players who fell in the war. For year! past the Association ha- felt the' necessity of having its own grounds and court, owiiiff to the popularity of tha game anil ihe overcrowded condition of all club courts.
