rURTHER REDUCTION REFUSED COMPETITION FROM OUTSIDE. (Received 11.30 a.m.. SYDNEY, this day. The full Arbitration Court dismissed the appeal of the Broken Hill Propriety against a variation of the award for the Newcastle Steel works employees Bade in December last. The company declared that, despite the reduced basic *«ge, extension of the working week, •nd revision of the tariff, it was unable to compete with outside countries.
