RUDDER WITH AN ENTRANCE DOOR.
An immense new rudder centre piece, consisting of twenty tons of cast steel, is being prepared for tlio Aqiiitania. which is undergoing her annual overhaul at Southampton. The whole of the Ctinanler's rudder, weishins SO tons, tins been sent to Darlington for the new portion to be fixed.
It possesses a door to enable workmen to enter and examine the hinge mechanism from the inside.
