MR. SELIG'S RETIREMENT.

LONG SERVICE RECOGNISED. (."By Telegraph.—Tress Association.) WELLINGTON", Friday. A graceful tribute wee paid to Mr. P. Selig this afternoon, when the principal advertising agents of New Zealand met at the offices of the United Press Association, and presented Mr. i'elig with an appreciative address and a souvenir of esteem. The latter took the form of a substantial cheque. Regretful reference was made to Mr. Selig's retirement from the management of the Christchurch 'Press" Company, and from practical journalism after 50 years of activity.
