AN INFANT'S DEATH.

CAUSED BY MALNUTRITION. (By Telegraph. —Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, this day. At an inquest held this morning before Mr. H. A. Young, Coroner, concerning the death of a three-months-old infant, son of Joseph and Dorothy Grey, medical evidence was given that the infant was emaciated through malnutrition, being of the same weight as when born (6i pounds), whereas it should have been at least 13 pounds. The child was fed with food which it could not assimilate, and was receiving no nourishment.

The Coroner returned a verdict in accordance with the medical testimony, adding that the parents were ignorant of the correct method of feeding the child. They had reared other children by similar methods with success.
