FUN AT THE BEACH.

STANLEY BAY GALA. Another of the series of carnivals which have been held at the beaches during the summer months, took place at Stanley Bay this afternoon. In addition to the many mirth-provoking "stunts" and sideshows which draw the modest shillings to the benefit fund, there was a swimming carnival. The Ponsonby Boss Band provided some of the music, which was well supplemented by impromptu instrumentalists.
