The leading ro.^. i>-ts are M.s., Ualre Oooley csoprano, ™ a Mr. < laune Bell (baritonei. who were Heard to ".client advantage in solos and dne-i and were frequently encored. In the SnnrjHh , s-ena "Old Manila" the lady, assisted br . the '■Superb Six" ballet, was especially good. One of the most enjoyable turns oa the programme wa* the song and slmnltnueous dance-duet of Mr. Gua Dawson ana Miss Lily Dalgleish, both of whom also contributed solo items of high merit Tne Diggers' princ-ipal comedian, Mr. Joe Valll established his popularity right away. He was recalled time and again, aad shone as a star entertainer of amazing versatility ; his songs, sayings, and romle antics coil j vulsing the audience with unrontrollahi 9 . laughter. With Miss Dalgleish and Messrs Jimmy Norton and Dawson a distinct hit was scored in the laucuahle sketch "ThRest Cure." The Impersonations of Mr Staii ] Bride's Trousseau." a miniature musical ! Lawson were highly enjoyable. Delightful ! music and effects were accompaniments to [ the "Butterfly Ballet." the "roof garden- , scene. "A MldDight Carnival," and "The j Bride's Trosseau." a miniature musical ! comedy. Others of the company also did I excellent work, and altogether the enterI talnment was one of sterling merit. The j present programme will be repeated each evening this week. THIE NELLIE BRAMLEY COMPANY. The Nellie Bramley Dramatic Company made their farewell appearance at Kis j Majesty's Theatre last evening, when ■ "Bought and Paid For" was produced before a very large audience. The piece, which ! was excellently staged, was greatly appreciated, and at the close of the performance Miss Bramley received a number of tributes. She will leave for Sydney on Fri&iy.
