RE-CREATING A TLEET. (By Cable.—rress Association.—Copyright.) (Received i p.m.) PARIS, December 18. When discussing the naval estimates, the Minister of Marine outlined the Government policy. He declared that Britain, America and Japan had been building while France let her navy dwindle. France needed a navy to defend her coasts and colonics; she must build ships and create nn aerial fleet, but strict economy was essential. Fortvthree million francs had been saved by reorganisation and reductions, and only eighty millions had been spent on the navy this year, ninety millions being carried over to the next financial year. He added that France was the "only naval power which had fallen to the 10J4 level.— (Router.)
